Upper Hale is closed! Utter chaos up here now, it snowed all afternoon & has obliterated the roads.
At 5pm the main road was silent, not a car. Average speed 1 mile in 2.5 hours. It's quite weird as at the bottom of the hill, in town it rained and all the snow went, 2 miles up the mill and you hit a wall of very dense fog & in a few yards it's like driving into Narnia - freaky! The town lies at approx 230' ASL while we are about 580' here so, I guess that's why we get such wild swings. We got 3-4" of snow last Thursday which never melted so, all that was still on the ground as solid ice & snow. If it freezes tonight then that's it. Main road will be bu99ered anyway as it's got cars at all angles up and down the hill. The yUK and weather eh

Clutch change on a Fiesta, just how buggered is this friction plate??
Theres absolutely no friction material left on one side of the friction plate at all!! and it was a Motorcraft item so not a cheap crap clutch either!  Incidentally the Fiesta in question is a 1997 car with only 39k miles on the clock, one previous old lady driver that had burnt out 4 clutches in the last 4 years.....

Don't you just love doing 3SGE Celica cam belt changes, NOT.. lol
Thankfully i have done enough of these to know that the initial shock of what you see when you open the bonnet is short lived, but still there really isn't much space to work with...   But thankfully as i have finger like ET i am able to get into the tightest of corners, lol, the worse bit being the engine mount bracket, held by 3x 14mm headed M8s! under neath the face you see here with 2 holes in it.  see the socket i have put on the lower one, then see the access you have as the pics zoom out! oh horror of horrors, lol    and the offending item in question looks like this once removed....

    Been lucky so far getting them undone, torqueing them up isnt a prob as they so much less than 7MGTE but if they dont wanna undo its a huge prob, BUT NOT ANY MORE, lol
